Dating Battles

Step 1

After prioritizing what was needed for this production, SandPrint Studios first met with several studio owners across the GTA. Given the busy season for the media industry, we had to organize a Saturday. We reviewed the challenges, equipment, and setup for each studio, as well as their availabilities. Next, we had to secure any permits needed for our location and started to flesh out the script for the pilot of the show. We decided the way to execute this show was through using SkyMark Studios and doing a three camera shoot to have the best angles.

Step 2

We recruited a Camera of Photography who assisted us in planning each shot. We also looked at the feel and look we wanted for this show as well as the colors needed. In the end, our graphic designers recreated a logo while our producers managed the budget, carried out the show call, crew schedules, and time management for pre-production. Sandprint also outsourced an editor for our post-production phase. On the day of production, we had two competitors who were a no-show and our recording system, though working the day before and thoroughly checked by the Head Supervisor of Production Services, was not working.

Step 3

The audio engineer had a double booking, so we called in a backup to handle mic cueing and audio placement. Despite the studio issues, our executive producer and producers stayed calm, reassuring the crew that the show would go on. After 3 hours, the recording system was fixed, and with 2 hours left, everything was shot and executed in one take! Our crisis management was effective, and we delivered a quality show. This production is in phase one and will move to mass distribution in 2025.

Results

The successful production of Dating Battles showcased our effective crisis management and ability to deliver high-quality content under pressure. This accomplishment sets the stage for mass distribution and publishing in 2025, highlighting our team’s resilience and dedication.
